Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), also known as The National University of Malaysia, was established in 1970 as the country’s third public university. UKM’s main campus is in Bangi, Selangor, with a teaching hospital in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.
UKM is one of only five research universities in Malaysia. It offers programs in Malay and English across 13 faculties, with particular strengths in sciences, engineering, medicine, and social sciences. The university emphasizes research and has produced numerous patents and innovations.
